Motherhood Coaching for Burnt-Out Mums
You're not broken. You're exhausted, overwhelmed, and carrying too much without enough support.
Coaching helps you find your way back to yourself.
You Know This Feeling
You wake up already tired.
You love your children fiercely — and you're running on empty.
You snap, and then the guilt crushes you. You carry the weight of your entire family in your head, and it never, ever switches off.
From the outside you're holding it together. Inside, you feel like you're one more thing away from breaking.
This is not who you are. This is what burnout looks like.
If Motherhood Feels Too Heavy
Motherhood coaching may be the right support for you if:
☐ You feel constantly overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted
☐ You love your children deeply but often feel touched out, irritable or depleted
☐ You find yourself snapping or experiencing “mum rage” and then feeling guilty afterwards
☐ You feel like you've lost parts of yourself since becoming a mother
☐ You carry the invisible mental load of your family and feel like it never switches off
☐ You feel disconnected from the person you used to be
☐ You’re functioning on the outside but inside you feel close to breaking point
☐ You sometimes wonder why motherhood feels so much harder than you expected
☐ You want support that is compassionate, grounded and free of judgement
If several of these resonate, you're not alone — and you're not failing. This is what burnout in motherhood actually looks like. And it's exactly what coaching is designed to help with.
Motherhood burnout is a state of chronic physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that develops when the demands of caring for others consistently exceed the support available — for too long, without relief.
It is not weakness. It is not failure. It is a predictable, physiological response to an unsustainable situation.
Motherhood burnout commonly looks like:
Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix
Mum rage followed by overwhelming guilt
Emotional numbness, shutdown, or disconnection
Feeling invisible, resentful, or quietly trapped
Loss of identity outside of being a mother
A nervous system that never gets to truly rest
Many mothers spend years believing something is fundamentally wrong with them. In almost every case, what's wrong is the level of support around them — not who they are.
Coaching helps you understand what's actually happening, regulate your nervous system, and create real, lasting change.

Meet Sally…
I'm Sally — a motherhood coach, accredited Mama Rising facilitator, and someone who has lived everything I support other mothers through.
In 2023 I burnt out completely. Not metaphorically — my body literally stopped functioning. I was a full-time, hyper-involved supermum with no village, no break, and no support, running on perfectionism and people-pleasing until my body said no.
Recovery took natural healthcare, medication, psychological work, and a complete reprogramming of the behavioural patterns I had carried my whole life. I know what real burnout costs. And I know what it takes to come back from it.
I bring together training in motherhood coaching, counselling, early childhood, and doula work — alongside deep study in attachment theory, nervous system regulation, parts work, and the mind-body connection. My approach is trauma-aware, nervous system informed, and completely free of judgement.
Because mothers deserve more than just surviving.
Have You Heard of Matrescence?
Matrescence is the profound psychological, emotional, and identity transformation that happens when a woman becomes a mother. It is as significant as adolescence — and almost never talked about.
If you feel like you've lost yourself in motherhood, feel disconnected from who you used to be, or feel like you're grieving a version of yourself you can't quite find anymore — matrescence may be at the heart of it.
Understanding matrescence is woven through everything I do. It changes the way mothers see themselves — and it can change everything.
Common Questions
What is motherhood coaching? Motherhood coaching is personalised one-on-one support for mothers navigating burnout, overwhelm, and the identity shifts of matrescence. It helps you understand what's happening, regulate your nervous system, and create real change in how you feel day to day. All sessions are held online.
Is this the same as therapy? No. Coaching is forward-focused and empowering — it helps you build tools and create change rather than treating clinical conditions. If you need therapeutic support, I'd always recommend working alongside a qualified mental health professional.
Do I have to be at breaking point to reach out? Absolutely not. Many mums reach out simply because they feel overwhelmed or disconnected. The earlier you reach out, the easier things are to shift.
Where are sessions held? All coaching is held online via Zoom, so you can access support from anywhere in Australia or internationally.
How do I get started? The first step is a free 20-minute connection call — relaxed, no pressure, no obligation. Just a conversation to see if it feels right.
